MHPS buses will run snow routes both morning and afternoon on Friday, January 27.

Bomber Nation,
MHPS will be in session tomorrow, Thursday, January 26, 2023. We will run snow routes.
There are a significant number of homes still without power. We understand that our schools are a warm place with food that could be a blessing to many. We also understand it might create anxiety for some due to having to get dressed and ready without the normal sanitary procedures. We always encourage families to make decisions based on what is best for their children, but we will be here tomorrow and ready.
Bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms will be made available for any student who requests their use.
Thank you for your understanding, and please be safe.
Jake

We love when our little kids partner with big kids! Kindergartners drew pictures showing what they want to be when they grow up and shared them with Mrs. Corales' 6th grade Honors Class. The Pinkston students wrote letters about those jobs and sent them back to the kindergarten. Kindergartners in Mrs. Pitchford's class were treated with the "BIG KIDS" reading to them about different job opportunities. Career-connected learning at its finest!

Does my child do the same things other children his or her age do?
Some children need help walking, talking, seeing, hearing, or learning. Child
Find is a legal requirement that schools find all children who have
disabilities and who may be entitled to special education services. If you feel
your child needs help, contact the professionals at your local school district
or the Arkansas Special Education Resource Center (ASERC) at
1-800-482-8437. Special education services are available to all eligible
children birth to 21, in both public and private, including children who are
highly mobile, homeless and wards of the state.
Early detection is the key to helping your child get off to a good start.
Getting help today prepares your child for future success.

**Access to federal funds for families in Arkansas with the Child Tax Credit**
Families with no income or low income could get at least $3,000 per child with the Child Tax Credit, plus $1400 with the third stimulus payment - even if they have never filed taxes before (and if they have not yet already filed taxes this year).
There is now an easy form for people to file on their mobile devices in 15 minutes or less in English or Spanish. People have until November 15 to sign up this year at GetCTC.org/arschools.
