Attention Mountain Home Area Business Partners:
On Thursday April 30 from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. the MHPS senior class will participate in a drive-up event where they will drop off textbooks and pick up caps, gowns, yearbooks, and other personal items. Students whose last names begin with A-M will drive through from 1-3 p.m. and students whose last names begin with N-Z will drive through between 5 and 7 p.m.
We received a few requests from area business partners who wanted to figure out a way to honor our seniors, so we decided to invite you all to come to this event to cheer on and encourage the Class of 2020.
Our school personnel will be set up near the Bomber plane to do our drop-off and pick-ups. We would love to have business partners fill up the sides of the driveway that lead up to the Bomber. Representatives from your business could set up lawn chairs and/or a table with signs, and you could even hand out giveaway items if you wish. We just want this to be an opportunity for the class of 2020 to be recognized and honored in the midst of all the uncertainty they are facing.
If you or or someone from your business is interested in participating in this event, please arrive at MHHS between 12:15 and 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 30 to set up. Please park in the large parking lot near the stadium. We will not have any cars parked along the main drive to ensure there is plenty of room for our 315 seniors to drive through. Due to current health and safety guidelines, all business partner participants (even if you’re just waving from a lawn chair) must wear a mask and gloves. Each business will also need to practice social distancing measures by spreading out at least 6 feet from your neighboring group.
We hope you will consider attending this event or sending representatives from your business. We know how proud everyone in our community is of these seniors, and we can’t wait to honor them together!
One final note: we will still host a graduation ceremony of some kind at a later date, but we do not have any additional details on that as we are waiting for more guidance from the Governor in the coming days.
Thanks for all your support and care for our students -- especially our resilient senior class!
