The band department of the Mountain Home Public Schools is accepting bids for instrument cleaning, maintenance, and repair for the 2019-2020 school year:

Qualifications of the Bidding Repair Facility:

1.) National Association of Professional Repair Technicians certified.

2.) Adequate facilities and equipment to complete the repairs and overhauls, as well as staff who are qualified, trained and experienced in woodwinds, brass, and/or percussion.

3.) Bidder shall carry minimum liability insurance with carriers rated A or better. A minimum limit of commercial liability of $1,000,000.

Specifications of Repairs:

1.) Bidder shall inspect all instruments at the middle, junior and high school campus prior to bidding (please call to schedule appointment)--Friday, April 19 is final day that appointments will be scheduled for instrument inspections. These inspections will be done at the convenience of the band directors based up class schedules at each campus.  Bidders must bring their driver’s license and check in through Raptor at each campus office.

2.) All repairs including overhauls shall be done in-house at the bidder’s repair facility.

3.) Bidder shall enter pricing for each school campus independently. Instruments will be line itemed with the make, model, serial number, repair work to be done, estimated parts and price of each instrument repair.  Cases also need to be checked--hinges, latches, wheels, etc. for potential repair needs.

4.) Band directors reserve the right to remove any instrument(s) from the bid or make final decisions on the extent of the repair for any instrument(s) and set priorities for overhauls, case repairs, etc. and will make final determination of which instruments are sent to the repair shop for cleaning, maintenance, or overhauls based upon available funds.

5.) Bidder shall provide a bid within 3-5 business days of inspecting the instruments (standard industry policy)

6.) Bidder shall pick up the instrument for repair at the specified campus at convenience of the band directors (date will be set once bidder is awarded)

7.) Completed repairs shall be returned to the specified campus by July 15, 2019. Billing after August 1, 2019.
